What are Expert Advisors?
We have a group of "experts" who have agreed to leave feedback during the project for the teams during this project. Expert Advisors will occasionally comment in discussions and on project wikis throughout the month of March.
Each expert is asked to read their assigned project a minimum of two times in March. Expert advisors will leave feedback in the “discussion” tab. The feedback may include questions for clarification, questions for expanding your thinking, and nudges to increase participation from all team members. Feedback should also include links to additional resources. You may want to do this using Delicious!
You should comment at least once during March 4-7 and once during March 18-21. You are encouraged to leave feedback more frequently.
Who are expert advisors?
Any profession as long as it is somewhat related or you have an expertise in the topic. We welcome and appreciate business and industry in advising the groups. During this project, we will also have a group of expert advisors in the teacher education program at the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. These future teachers are taking an instructional technology course and are “learning by doing!”
How many experts are on this project?
We can take an unlimited number of "experts" but need at least one per group. Interaction with industry experts and advisors is an important skill that the students must learn.
How may I learn more about the topics?
Once the project begins, the project wikis will be populated with information. You can also join the project Google Group for access to the chapters from Grown Up Digital. Also, you should read the
How much time will it take?
The time you spend is up to you -- we project that to leave two meaningful sets of comments that each set would take 30 minutes each -- thus probably about an hour. We have had outstanding experts, however, who follow the page via RSS and give more feedback spending no more than 2-3 hours the entire project.
